On the airbag products I perform the following:
- Design: in the first phases the product is customized directly by the performance engineer
- Preliminary calculations: volume, stress, positioning
- Folding
- Validation
Steering wheels
On the steering wheel products I perform the following:
- Bending
- Torsion
- Modal analyses
- Frequency response
- Fatigue
The preferred software are Abaqus and OptiStruct.
