CFD Lectures
CFD doesn't provide exact solutions to all problems, but it's a reliable tool that can provide useful results if used by an experienced user.
An inexperienced user may get nice plots that are far from being a prediction of the stated problem.
Some of the problems arise from the default settings in commercial CFD codes. The user may get results without knowing what the code is doing by accepting settings that are not appropriate for the specific problem. The user must make an active decision about each setting. That means the user must know the physics and the computing.
This chapter provides explanations to different notions and settings used in a CFD analysis. These apply on both commercial and open source applications.
